Abstract

Learning natural science in grade 4 of primary school is an important foundation for understanding scientific concepts in the early stages of education. However, challenges in teaching science include students' difficulties in understanding abstract concepts. Therefore, innovative approaches are needed to improve science learning achievement. This study aims to analyse the use of discussion method and picture media in improving science learning achievement in grade 4. The method used is literature analysis, by collecting and reviewing various studies related to the use of discussion methods and image media in learning science in grade 4. The data was analysed to identify key findings, advantages and examples of the use of both methods. The results of the analysis show that the use of discussion method and picture media together can effectively improve science learning achievement in grade 4. The combination of these two methods can improve understanding of scientific concepts, student engagement, and learning motivation. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of discussion method and picture media can be an effective learning strategy in improving science learning achievement in grade 4. This approach can positively contribute to students' understanding of scientific concepts and improve the quality of science learning. This research contributes by providing a deeper understanding of the effectiveness of using the discussion method and picture media in improving science learning achievement in grade 4. The results of this study can be a guideline for educators in designing innovative and effective learning strategies to improve students' understanding of scientific concepts.
